Pygmy Goats are one of the easiest and best animals to have and to own. Like all other goats, they are herd animals and they thrive better when they are with other animals. Pygmy Goats are very curious and playful and will climb, jump and investigate any area they can get into. Pygmy goats are small in stature and should be protected from potential predators. We recommend Great Pyrenees Dogs for Herd Protectors. Your Pygmy Goats should be wormed and vaccinated just like the other breeds of Goats! As with all other breeds of goats (excluding Myotonics), a buck can and will breed a doe as young as two to three months of age; therefore, we recommend ALL bucklings be removed from the Pen with Mom and sisters (and/or other does and doelings) at two months of age.
